Well, living in Corvallis puts us about 1 hour from the coast of Oregon...which is Beautiful!! It is completely different from the Gulf Coast. You won't see lots of people swimming or sunbathing, but you will see surfers in wet suits, families with their dogs running on the beach and beautiful cliffs along the beaches.

These seals were hanging out at the port in Newport which is a working fishing port. The seals get very fat because they enjoy the snacks that the fishermen throw their way when they're cleaning their catch!
This is Newport...partly charming, mostly smelly with lots of fisherman working around!
We are so happy to be somewhere where people know how to pronounce and spell our last name!! We have found where we belong!
