Over the Clouds and through TSA Security to Libba's house I go...

I wanted to blog regarding my trip to my good friend Libba's house, even though I'm a bit late.  I flew into to Raleigh, NC, on the evening of 11/10 where Libba picked me up and we drove a little over an hour back to her house in Pine Bluff, NC.  It was so good to see her!!  I stayed until 11/15 when I flew back home to my honey.

I hadn't seen little Nathan (Libba and Josh's baby boy) since before my honey and I started traveling!  It was so good to get to be a part of his life for that week and be able to play with him and see how much he had grown (at the time of my visit he was 11 months old)!!!  Hopefully, it won't be as long until I get to see him again.  Libba is a great mom (not a big surprise)!
While I was there Libba's husband, Josh, sweetly offered to keep Nathan so that we could go out for dinner and a movie...yay, girl's night out!!!  We watched the movie Morning Glory and laughed so hard...it helped that the theater was full of senior citizens who also were not afraid to let out a good belly laugh!!  It was so good to laugh with Libba and get to spend some quality time together.
On Saturday, I tagged along as Libba helped host a baby shower for one of her friends.  I had a great time and enjoyed a super yummy cupcake made by a lady who owns a Cupcake Bar.  The Cupcake Bar involved a bar with choices of cupcake, filling, icing and toppings all put together to each person's specifications!  It was so fun to create such a yummy treat.  My cupcake was a white cupcake with caramel filling, pink cream cheese icing and coconut and mini M&M's as toppings!
I am so glad that I was able to visit my sweet friend and her family and was sad to leave them.  Even though Libba and I are separated by many miles I always know that I can call her up and talk to her about anything and she is ready to listen.  I'm glad that distance does not make our friendship weaker...maybe one day we will live near each other again...that would be great!

I love you Libba and thanks for opening your home to me...I had a great time!
Amanda
