Out with the old, in with the New!

Happy New Year, Everyone!!  I am so grateful for all the things that happened in 2011, but I can't wait to see what 2012 will bring.  It is such a comfort knowing that my Heavenly Father watches over me with such tender love that I don't have to fear the unknown!  
So, 2012, bring it on!

Some highlights from 2011:
~Went skiing/snowboarding for the first time while we lived in Taos, New Mexico
~Turned the big 3-0!  Yikes.
~Celebrated 2 amazing years of marriage to my soulmate!
~Took anniversary trip to San Diego which was mind-blowing (love that place)!
~We moved to Oregon for a new assignment.
~For the first time since starting to travel, I didn't have a job.  Learned a lot about contentment.
~Took a week-long adventure touring the Oregon coast.
~Moved to Wausau, Wisconsin, for a new assignment.
~My honey planned a weekend for us in Chicago!  Wow, I love that city!  It was marvelous!
~Thought we had found a permanent job in Nashville but then God "shut the door" to that option.
~We've had so many opportunities to ask God for guidance, see Him answer, and learn what it means to have faith and trust.
~Enjoyed spending a week at home (in Birmingham, AL) for the holidays to be with our family.
~Celebrated our third Christmas as a married couple...it was so peaceful and joyous.

Looking ahead to 2012:
~Still seeking God for a permanent job and "forever home".
~I will finish my BSN degree.
~We will have at least one more travel assignment which will be in Oregon.

So, there you have it in a nutshell.  Looking back my honey and I are amazed at God's goodness to us and His faithfulness to lead us everytime we came to a fork in the road.  I cannot imagine living this adventure with anybody else than my precious husband and my loving Heavenly Father!  We know that we will continue to be led in 2012 and are very excited about the new things ahead!  We love all of our family and friends who support us and love us and we ask again for prayers that we would be faithful servants of God in our corner of the world.
